Hanro Of Switzerland

UX Design | UI Design

A full E-commerce website for a luxury underwear brand. A heavy UX project focusing on optimising conversion rate within a sleek, elegant brand feel.

THE CHALLENGE

Hanro Of Switzerland needed to establish a new eCommerce platform to improve the user journey and boost conversion. They also wanted to direct users to a hub for their brand content to immerse them in the world of Hanro.

THE RESPONSE

The overall website was completely redesigned from the ground up with a beautiful UI that matches the brand’s premium feel. I also designed a new “World of Hanro” section from scratch to hold all brand content, from their luxurious photoshoots to their blog pieces.

To improve conversion specifically, I recognized that key product information like size, style, and price were getting lost as users browsed the old site. I brought this info to the forefront and kept it visible as users scrolled, along with the key CTA of “Add to bag”, to encourage user exploration while always guiding towards purchase.

THE THOUGHT BEHIND: PRODUCT JOURNEY

Hanro’s wide range of products meant many filters, categories, and options which were all presented at once, overwhelming their users. Even if a user knew what they wanted, there were a lot of hurdles and menus between them and finding the product.

I designed a seamless user experience with category pages, side filters, quick links and a search bar that instantly recognises what you are looking for. User exploration was immediately boosted, and the purchase journey became a smooth path instead of a tricky maze.

CONCLUSION

Before, the Hanro website was struggling with conversion issues and technical troubles. Once the new site was launched, they saw instant improvement on overall sales and their drop-off rate reduced significantly. Beyond that, their new in-brand content hub for everything from fashion shoots to look books became a sharable hive for all brand activity, aiding their social media strategy.
