EC Villas
UX Design | UI Design
I was the creative lead and UX, UI, and branding designer for EC Villas. My core goal was increasing villa enquiries and bringing more word-of-mouth attention to the brand.
THE CHALLENGE
EC Villas started as a concierge company but met such great success that they quickly moved into the property business. Before long, they had vast amounts of luxury villas to rent across Ibiza and Mallorca, and huge amounts of destination information and guides on top of that. They urgently needed a site that made navigating and booking as streamlined as possible.
THE RESPONSE
I created a site that put booking enquiries and villa searching right on the homepage, reflecting the most common user need – to see what’s available. This search function is simple to use and has valuable depth, allowing a user to search the full villa database by date, location, and price range.
With an instantly actionable “Enquire” CTA on each villa’s page, the journey from search to sun, sea, and sand is seamless.
THE THOUGHT BEHIND: INDIVIDUAL VILLA PAGE
Every villa has immense amounts of information associated with it, from pictures to area information. None of this info could be cut which means a long page with lots of scrolling – not ideal for the end user. I ordered this content with the most common user needs at the top, then added a sub-nav which sticks to the top of a page and keeps navigation ever-present and effortless. One click from anywhere and you’re where you want to be on the page.
I also worked hard on keeping the design clean but more compact than what they had before. All the icons and villa stats were carefully placed to maximise readability but minimize invasiveness.
CONCLUSION
This website brought EC Villas into the digital space with an on-brand and effective design. Most importantly though, the site acted as an easy-to-use hub for booking villas, learning about these luxury locations, and being fully immersed in holiday cravings.
